Clear Line Complete Challenging Glass Installation in London

20150509_152814

This weekend Clear Line completed a large glass installation at Broadgate Quarter, London.

There were three pieces of glass to be installed to the Entrance Screen approximately 4m x 3m in size and weighing around 1100kg. We used a Hydraulica 1200 glass vacuum lifter incorporating 16 individual suction pads. This was lifted into place using one of Clear Line’s  Maeda 305 Mini-cranes.

The biggest problem we faced was the available clearance between the glass and the canopy and the glass and the ground, which was only 5mm either side. However, with the added experience of all our operatives on site we were able to complete the installation in one day without any complications.
